Epoxy coal pitch anti-corrosion steel pipes are often constructed using three oils and two cloths or five oils and three cloths. Specifically, on the cleaned and derusted pipes, first apply a layer of “anti-corrosion oil”, then wrap it with a layer of “cloth”, and then apply a layer of “anti-corrosion oil”. After the “anti-corrosion oil” dries, apply another layer of “anti-corrosion oil”, then wrap it with a layer of “cloth”, and finally apply a layer of “anti-corrosion oil” evenly on the surface, a total of three oils and two cloths or five oils and three cloths. After actual testing, it was found that using epoxy coal pitch plus cathodic protection, oil and gas pipelines have been used for 20 to 30 years without corrosion.
Epoxy coal pitch anti-corrosion steel pipes are often used for external anti-corrosion of steel pipes and combined with other internal anti-corrosion measures to suit engineering requirements. For example, in drinking water pipelines, epoxy coal pitch can be used for external anti-corrosion, but food-grade non-toxic anti-corrosion measures such as IPN8710 or TPEP must be used for internal anti-corrosion. If it is a sewage pipeline, epoxy coal pitch can be used for both internal and external anti-corrosion. It should be noted that epoxy coal pitch anti-corrosion steel pipe coating usually needs to be constructed under the guidance of professionals, and safety should be paid attention to during the construction process to avoid the coating causing harm to the human body.
